Screws, Emblems, and what to buy first

Which currency guides say unlocks killers and items, which one unlocks perks, and a buy order that does not assume a drop rate.

Two currencies

Progression guides split the shops this way:

  • Screws buy killers and items, and they are also described as the currency that upgrades perks you already unlocked.
  • Emblems buy perks. An October 9, 2026 guide says each perk costs 250 Emblems, counts 38 survivor perks and 10 killer perks, and therefore totals 12,000 Emblems to own every listed perk. The same guide says Emblem bundles from 100 to 2,000 can be bought with Robux.

Payouts are described as performance-based. Survivors are told they earn more by repairing, unhooking, healing, and escaping. Killers are told they earn more by hooking and stopping generators. Leaving early is described as the reliable way to earn less. There is no published flat Screws-per-match number here, so this site does not invent one.

Reported killer prices

These Screw prices are repeated in 2026 shop roundups. Confirm them in the lobby.

Killer Reported Screws
The Slasher Free
The Stalker 7,500
The Hidden 8,000 (one comment said 8,500)
The Masked 8,000
The Killer 8,500
The Abysswalker 8,500
The Veil 8,500
The Cure 15,000

One May 16, 2026 article printed 1,500 Screws for The Cure. Later guides and the killer's own pages say 15,000. Use 15,000 unless your shop shows otherwise.

Item prices in a July 2026 list put Bandage at 3,500, Adrenaline Shot at 5,000, Parrying Dagger at 7,000, and Twist of Fate at 7,500. An October 2026 overview only gives a range of about 3,000 to 12,000 Screws and says you bring one item. Prefer the price on the item card.

Buy order for a new account

  1. Play The Slasher and learn the match. The killer costs nothing.
  2. Buy one survivor perk whose tooltip you can explain, such as Eyes of Heaven if you still get lost, or Flow State if you already know the loops.
  3. Buy one item you will actually use. Bandage and Motion Tracker solve solo healing and stealth ambushes. The Parrying Dagger is called the strongest item only after you can time it.
  4. Save Screws for a second killer whose job you want. Do not skip straight to The Cure unless you already like managing zones and extra units.

The Screws calculator only subtracts. Type the live shop price and your balance. It does not tell you how many matches you need.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many players are in a Violence District match?

A full match is six players: five survivors and one killer. That size is stated on the official experience description and on public game listings.

What are survivors trying to do?

Survivors cooperate on objectives and try to escape. Player tutorials describe seven generators on the map and an escape after five of them are completed, which powers the exit gates. The official description calls the objectives a team task and says pallets are a scarce stun resource.

Is [CURE] Violence District still in Alpha?

Yes. The official Roblox description still says the game is in Alpha and to expect bugs and changes. The developer asks for bug clips in the community server channel #bug-reports.

Which killer should a new player use?

The Slasher is free and is the documented starter. Learn generator patrol and pallet timing on that kit before spending Screws. The Cure is the expensive, more complicated unlock, widely listed at 15,000 Screws.

Where do Screws and Emblems go?

Guides describe Screws as the currency for killers, items, and perk upgrades, and Emblems as the currency for buying perks. One October 2026 progression guide says each perk costs 250 Emblems and counts 38 survivor perks and 10 killer perks. Match payouts are described as performance-based rather than a flat reward.
